COPYRIGHT

All images created by Aaron Soares are protected by copyright law. It is illegal to use, alter, steal, showcase as your own work, and copy images, but not limited to, in any shape or form without written explicit consent. Commercial use of any image is also prohibited without written explicit consent. Images that are watermarked must remain intact at all times. Clients that have bought images from any of their shoots are still copyright protected. Just because you bought images from a shoot, does not mean you own them. Your shoot consisted of a paid service. If you infringe on any of Aaron's copyrighted images, you will be pursued to the full extent of the law. Copyright infringement is serious business.

PRINTING IMAGES FROM YOUR SHOOT

Effective May 12, 2012, when a client purchases a photo CD of images from their shoot, they will no longer receive hi-res images and low-res un-watermarked images to use as they wish. Instead, clients that purchases a photo CD ($150) would now receive hi-res images printable to a 5x7 print, low-res watermarked images for online use only, and a print release. As previously mentioned, just because you bought a photo CD does not mean you own them. Aaron still owns the copyright to these images and therefore, are still protected. Clients can have their images printed with Aaron or with Mpix.com, a recommended pro-consumer lab. Clients that uploads their images to any website must use only the low-res watermarked images. This signifies that the images were photographed by Aaron. Clients have the option to purchase hi-res images on a photo CD ($500) with a print release to only print with Aaron or with Mpix.com, a recommended pro-consumer lab. This option is very expensive to ensure that quality is not sacrificed.

When clients print images on their own, quality is sacrificed and when people see those photos, they may tell the client how good they look just so they don't hurt any feelings, however, those people may be thinking "ewww, who took those photos" and "hopefully the client did not pay for them"...etc. This causes Aaron's reputation as a professional photographer to suffer and then loses any future potential business, eventhough the client may not be thinking of that when they printed the images. This is why it is very important that Aaron ultimately controls who prints the images. Not only does this just ensures Aaron's reputation and business, but also ensures that the client receives professional prints to last a lifetime.
